Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)
The goal of the SSVF program is to provide housing stability among low-income Veteran families who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.
The SSVF Program uses a housing-first approach, recognizing that housing and people’s basic needs, such as food and safety, come first.
Eligibility
To become a participant in the SSVF program, the following conditions must be met.
1. A member of a “Veteran family”: Either (a) a Veteran or (b) a member of a family in which the head of the household, or the spouse of the head of the household, is a Veteran. (Note: The head of household should be identified by the Veteran’s family.)
2. Under 80% of Area Median Income.
3. Are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless.
