To provide housing and supportive services to help improve the quality of life for ALL Veterans, their families, and the communities in which they live and serve.

The Center for Veterans Issues strives to be the premier Veteran Resource Organization that helps end homelessness across Wisconsin and the United States.

The Center for Veterans Issues uses a client-centered, strength-based approach when serving Veterans and their families. This is achieved by identifying the needs, desires, and expectations while ensuring the maximum participation of those being served.

The Center for Veterans Issues, Inc. was born out of longstanding frustration with a range of negative factors confronting veterans returning from the Vietnam War. After many years of trying to work through a number of efforts and institutions, the Center was founded as a way of providing a consistent, professional, effective, and replicable means of moving beyond the advocacy and addressing problems harming low-income veterans and their families.

Helping any Veteran in need is at the core of the Center for Veterans Issues’ service offerings. Providing comprehensive services from CVI directly or via our partners, improves quality of life.

CVI believes that striving to improve the quality of life for Veterans also improves the lives of their families. A ripple effect is created where these Veterans and their families become valued members of the communities in which they live, which in turn strengthens our state and nation.
