Veterans and the general public can take the Culinary Training Course through
Troop Café in Milwaukee to help them find employment opportunities in the
food service and hospitality industry.
Learn from Troop Café’s Executive Chef – Chef Derek Small
Chef Derek Small is the Program Director in Training at Troop Café. He is a Navy Veteran who in his 20 years in the Navy led the food service operations for many countries, presidents, and dignitaries.
He was also hand-selected to be an Admirals Culinary Specialist.
Learning from the Professionals
Students will learn both online and in-class on a weekly basis. They will also have opportunities to meet local industry leaders and learn firsthand how to prep and handle food by current health standards as well as special techniques with food prep.
