The focus of the Food Service Assistant is to assist with the planning, organizing, managing, and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Food Service Operations. The incumbent will also prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Vet’s Place Central as well as prepare the meals for the other Transitional Housing locations.

Job Purpose

The main goal of the Maintenance Technician is to keep CVI facilities at maximum operational functionality. This requires constant monitoring, inspections, and the repairing of any issues as they arise to prevent further worsening of any problems.  The incumbent will  be skilled in painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and ground/landscaping and work closely with the Director of Facilities.

Job Purpose

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Job Developer/Placement Specialist is responsible to evaluate labor data to identify high-demand occupations. The incumbent; promotes and develops employment and on-the-job training opportunities for eligible veterans,  matches eligible veterans to job openings, assists employers in revising standards that exclude veterans from jobs, and demonstrates to employers the effectiveness and profitability of employing veterans.  The incumbent will work with low-income, homeless, recently released veterans with one or more barriers to employment.
